Our Approach

The curriculum of St. Andrew's Preschool and Childcare Center is based on the concepts of Creative Curriculum which is aligned with Early Learning Foundations of Learning.  These concepts consist of hands-on learning, age-appropriate activities that are child directed.  The curriculum engages the whole child in the areas of literacy, mathematics, science and social studies.  The method uses is the context of play in which the child learns through meaningful experiences guides by the teachers.  Multi-sensory and multicultural awareness are also incorporated into the curriculum.  The children are moving, exploring, and creating in a theme-based environment and given opportunities to discover and explore independently and confidently.
